People who volunteer with Midland Meals say it has added a new dimension to their lives. The satisfaction of doing something practical that positively impacts the lives of others is a reward in itself. Plus, you'll gain friends with those you serve alongside.
Volunteers are crucial to every aspect of Midland Meals. From donating and sourcing supplies to setting up, serving, and packing up, we rely on volunteers. Currently, there are over 170 volunteers giving their time and efforts, and we're always in need of more.
Because we believe in loving everyone, regardless of their situation, we welcome you to serve with us and see lives changed one at a time.

The Many Ways to Volunteer
Serving at one of Midland Meals Sites
Every evening from 6pm-7:30pm set up and serve the community with food and good conversation at our Midland and Ellenbrook sites. If you are a grill expert we always need someone on the BBQ to cook our yummy burgers.

MIDLAND - Located in the council carpark next to the Midland police station at 58 Morrison Road.

ELLENBROOK - Located in the Broadway Medical carpark- 7/150 Coolamon Boulevard, Ellenbrook.
We also serve every Wednesday and Friday from 11:30-1:00 at BASSENDEAN - Located on the Blue steel oval. Working alongside Midlas and the local street doctor.
Cooking Meals
Love to cook? We are always looking for people to prepare aluminium trays of savouries or desserts that can be frozen.
A box of fresh fruit/veg and various other supplies can be put together for you which can be picked up either from our kitchen in Midland between 3:30-5:30 or at the Midland or Ellenbrook sites from 6-7:30pm.
Food can be delivered to the Midland kitchen between 3:30-5:30, or the Midland and Ellennbrook sites between 6-7:30pm.
Preparing, Packing and Cleaning
None of our volunteering efforts would be possible without the crucial behind-the-scenes work. Volunteers preparing, packing, and cleaning are the backbone of our operations.

Preparing and Packing Supplies for Each Night
We need volunteers who can visit our kitchen in Midland and assist in preparing and heating food from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Preparing and Packing Supplies for Bassendean
If you excel at chopping and peeling, join us in our Midland kitchen from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM to help prepare supplies.

Cleaning for the Next Day
After serving at one of our sites, we require volunteers to help with cleaning and doing dishes each evening at our Midland kitchen from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM .
Clothing Team
A significant aspect of Midland Meals is providing essential items to those in need from our generous donations. We are looking for dedicated volunteers to sort and ensure the quality of donated clothing, making sure they are clean and presentable.
Additionally, we need volunteers to distribute these items at our Ellenbrook and Midland sites while food is being served.
Helping Hands
We would love to use your gifts at Midland Meals, what ever they may be.
Maybe you are a handyman and can help with odd jobs and repairs. Or have a car license and can collect regular donations from the local community that require pick up and drop off. Or are you a wiz at spreadsheets or report. We always need help with writing grants, data entry, creating rosters, menus and other behind the scenes work.

Midland Meals relies on donations to offer food, shelter, and essentials to those in need. We welcome fresh produce, pantry staples, cleaning supplies, hygiene items, blankets, sleeping bags, and warm clothing.
Midland Meals does not receive government funding and relies entirely on the generosity of our donors to keep our project going. Your support is crucial in helping us continue our mission and reach more people in need.
