The 2023 Foodbank Hunger Report reveals a staggering reality: 388,000 households in Western Australia are facing food insecurity. This includes 120,000 families with children. A shocking one in three Western Australian households is forced to skip meals or compromise on nutritious food choices.

So What is Food Insecurity?
Food insecurity encompasses a spectrum of experiences, from uncertainty about securing enough food and compromising on nutritional value to disrupted eating patterns and reduced food intake.

Midland Meals is dedicated to combating food insecurity and supporting those in need. We feed 870 people every week, 52 weeks a year, (that's 7 days a week, 365 days a year) across three sites, Midland, Ellenbrook and Bassendean. Our meals include a variety of hot food, desserts, cold drinks, and fresh burgers as well as providing essential items such as clothing and blankets.
